Rumors on UseNet have it that Infected Paw will be getting the "Kithicor" treatment in an upcoming patch. Seems that on the test server they recently had a GM event similar to the "Halloween Massacre" that was held in Kithicor on all the servers. Afterwards, word has it, the dungeon was repopulated with level 30+ mobs. Brad McQuaid responded to a few posts in this thread, and his answers hint that this will be going to the live servers soon. It so happens that most of our players are getting near mid level, and that this zone is targetted to be mid level now.

BTW - PAW is one of the worst designed levels I've ever seen, even comparing it to old doom 2D ones. Jezuz, the vertigo I got in that traveling the long one way tunnels - no depth of design at all.

Hardly anyone hunts there anyway so I guess it needed SOMETHING to be changed about it.

Agreed -- lower level players rarely went to Paw, probably because of it's distance. So, now that most of our players are approaching mid-level, we've changed the zone's population (and treasure) in hopes it will be more popular now.

Fair enough, but is the monk's orange headband quest to be changed? I'm about to start it and will hold off for a bit if it is. Come to think of it, if it isn't either. Running into Paw and finding it suddenly mid-level would be a rather nasty shock.
