A reminder, the large patch originally scheduled for two weeks ago will finally be happening tomorrow morning (November 14th) at 3:00 AM PST. Here is the announcement posted on the Scheduled Downtime page of the official EQ website...

On Tuesday, Nov. 14th, at 3:00 am PST, the Everquest servers will be coming down for a patch. The estimated down time is 11 hours.

Also, even though this patch will require you to install DirectX 7, there is now a newer version of DirectX out. DirectX 8 has been released and you can download it from the Microsoft DirectX page HERE.
