Second Expansion Pack Announced:
EverQuest Creator and Producer Brad McQuaid has announced plans for another EQ expansion while at the EQ Gathering in Las Vegas this past weekend. The new expansion will be entitled "The Scars of Velious" and should be released by Christmas time this year.
Based on the final original continent, Velious, it is an ice covered landmass to the far south of Norrath. It will feature new cold weather creatures such as Ice Dragons and Giants while also adding a new starting city for the Barbarian race. Also, for those who didn't know, we have some Beta Maps of Velious as it was originally mapped out, right here in our database. So take a look and see if you can guess how the new continent will eventually be released.
